All four candidates for one Nevada Supreme Court seat have made six-figure loans to their campaigns, according to reports filed with the secretary of state.

The reports from the candidates in the Supreme Court Seat B race include one from former judge Don Chairez who lists his own $135,000 loan to his campaign and no other contributions.

Kris Pickering is at the top of the list both in contributions and personal loans. She has received $556,229 in cash contributions, including $360,000 in her own funds.

Washoe County Family Court Judge Deborah Schumacher lists $317,740 in contributions, including $150,000 of her own money; and Nancy Allf reported contributions totaling $489,387, including $271,000 in personal loans to her campaign.

The candidates jumped into the nonpartisan race after Justice Bill Maupin announced in January that he wouldn't seek re-election to a third six-year term. In next Tuesday's primary election, the top two vote-getters will advance to the November general election.

Besides the four-way race for Maupin's seat on the state Supreme Court, there's also a race for the seat held by Chief Justice Mark Gibbons. In the seat D race, Gibbons faces Las Vegas lawyer Thomas Christensen. With only two candidates, there's no primary and instead the candidates advance to the November general election.
