Sen. Bob Beers’ and the power to influence

Does state Sen. Bob Beers’ power to influence have any limits? The man who once ran against Gov. Jim Gibbons is now the vice governor. And the man who proposed Tax and Spending Control, which would have limited spending to population growth plus inflation, apparently is influencing the House GOP. This from Congress Daily: “Members of the conservative House Republican Study Committee are preparing to unveil ... a constitutional amendment limiting annual spending increases to no more than the growth of the economy, provided overall spending does not exceed 20 percent of gross domestic product.” Sounds like a great campaign year issue, one the House Republicans are eager to exploit. Beersian logic: It’s contagious.
