Editorial: Taking responsibility
The state has a problem hiring and keeping psychiatrists and psychiatric nurses, especially in rural Nevada, largely because of problems with pay and location.
Anywhere but Nevada, top students say
They're the type of student colleges court - driven and diligent, earning near-perfect grades in high school.

Editorial: A bid against openness
As noted in a story by the Las Vegas Sun on Thursday, electronic disclosure is required for every federal race except for those in the Senate, where senators have been allowed to continue using regular U.S. Postal Service mail to submit the disclosure form.

Letter: War with Iran could be beginning of the end
People forget that the United States armed and trained the mujahedeen in Afghanistan during the Soviet occupation. I'm sure the Soviets considered the mujahedeen terrorists. If the Soviet Union had done to us what we want to do to Iran, we would either be speaking Russian today or we'd be piles of radioactive cinders.

Ron Kantowski offers a pop quiz to prepare football fans for today's intrastate matchup at Mackay Stadium
The following questions might not constitute the Biggest Little Quiz on the UNLV-UNR Football Game. But it might give you something to do after you're through touring the National Bowling Stadium.
Editorial: Veterans' care still deficient
The Post also wrote about the delays and confusion that Iraq and Afghanistan veterans encountered as they sought care for their war-related injuries.
