FLASHPOINT for Sep 26, 2007

The poor Little Caucus That Could. The national media are ignoring it. The local media are pointing out that the national media are ignoring it. Just a few months after Iowa and New Hampshire were fretting about their supremacy, they are about to reassert their supremacy. So is all lost? Will we be lost? Looks to me as if the GOP field, save Mitt Romney, doesn't even know where Nevada is on a map - except to raise money. And the Democrats here continue to cry, "We are somebody," as they wait for Iowa and New Hampshire to move up. So are we really nobody? I don't think so. At least not yet. The next couple of months will be telling, but if Obama and Edwards look strong in Iowa, we will still be important. Really. I think so.
