Flashpoint:
Bob Beers says he didn’t do it. And the Democrats say they didn’t do it….

Bob Beers says he didn't do it. And the Democrats say they didn't do it. So who conducted a poll in the GOP senator's district this week to gauge his vulnerabilities for his reelection bid? That's not as interesting as the fact that a survey is being done in what could be the most interesting legislative race of the year - if the Democrats can find a candidate. The names put up against Beers in the poll were interesting - Assemblyman Marcus Conklin, Democratic activist Steve Fernlund and ex-law school dean Richard Morgan. I doubt Conklin will run, Fernlund would have to move and Morgan would have to be nuts. The Democrats need a big name and gaming/trial lawyer/teacher cash. Until then, polling means nothing.
