Letter: Backing coal plants evidence of ineptness

To all those who voted for Jim Gibbons for governor, may you be forgiven at some point. Gibbons is the most incompetent, inept and unqualified person I have seen in office for this or any other state (he truly must be a Bush clone), and soon all his "friends in low places" will have jobs within our government.

Someone must see how ludicrous this idea is of building three coal-fired plants in Nevada when all the world and especially the Western states are attempting to lower greenhouse gases - not make more. I am a member of the Natural Resources Defense Council and will be getting hold of it to see if it can help stop this madness.

In the meantime, we must all stand up to the idea of three new coal plants in Nevada. What's wrong with this picture?
