StumbleLetter: Too much time, money? Not quite

This is in response to Phoebe Sweet's recent article in the Las Vegas Sun on Friday's hearing regarding coal-fired plants in Nevada:
Gov. Jim Gibbons said in his letter to the Nevada Environmental Commission that power developers had spent too much time and money on their proposals to derail them now.
Using this argument, one could say:
I spent too much money and time buying equipment to make crystal meth for you to not let me sell it and make people sick.
