Something old, something new
Tue, Oct 30, 2007 (7:14 a.m.)
Every music festival is a gathering of the tribe.
You can identify the band of gypsies by their costumes: Tattoos. Tie-dye. Mohawks. Pompadours. All black. Flat-billed ball caps worn askew. Concert T's tracing the travels of bands and their followers.
But the third Vegoose brought together many tribes , thanks to the harmonic convergence of Las Vegas, Halloween weekend and a mash-up of musical genres.
All the regular tribes roamed the field next to Sam Boyd Stadium, providing plenty of off-stage entertainment.
Typical of the mix was the scene at the wedding chapel: Three couples, including a zombie bride and groom, exchanged these-don't-really-count vows as witnessed by Britney, a banana, a bandito, a butterfly, a bumblebee and Little Bo Peep.
