Letter: Consider nature’s role in global warming
Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007 | 7:13 a.m.
Does it never occur to those who believe global warming is man - made that global warming is, and has been, a natural phenomenon, since the Ice Age began to thaw ? That the thaw has accelerated only because we no longer block out the sun with black smoke from worldwide use of coal-burning residential and industrial furnaces and fire places? That before the Ice Age, there were no glaciers? No permanent ice caps? No floating icebergs?
Is that not possible? Not worthy of scholarly pursuit?
Or must we blindly follow the narrow path of the "politically correct" without a pause?
