Letter: Ensign’s hypocrisy on senators revealed
Friday, Oct. 12, 2007 | 7:23 a.m.
Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., has been quoted to the effect that he wants Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, out of the Senate. "Sen. Craig gave us his word," Ensign said. "I wish he would stick to his word."
As far as I know , Ensign never called for Sen. David Vitter, R-La., to step down when Vitter got caught being on a madam's phone list.
Do you suppose that Ensign knew that in Idaho, where they have a Republican governor, he would appoint another Republican, and Ensign also knew that Louisiana's governor is a Democrat, who could legally appoint a Democrat to replace Vitter in the Senate?
To me, that smacks of hypocrisy. How about to you?
