Letter: Where’s my party, Commissioner?
Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 | 7:17 a.m.
Tony Cook's Saturday story, on Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly spending the most money using his discretionary budget to mostly throw parties for citizens, is a typical glass half-empty story.
As a resident in Commissioner Chip Maxfield's district, I want to know where my party is. Why isn't it in my commissioner's discretion to throw a bit of pork back at the citizenry?
Weekly's folks get a luau; I get a Lake Mead-215 interchange stalled for years. That's no party.
