The 21-5 UNLV women's volleyball team starts the Mountain West Conference tournament Thursday against Wyoming at Cox Pavilion. The Rebels have never played in a tournament title match. The finale is Saturday.

Get accustomed to pronouncing UNLV freshman golfer Therese Koelbaek's name. The 5-foot-8 Dane won a national Golfweek magazine honor after shooting a final-day 69 to win a tournament in Richmond, Calif. Oh, and it's pronounced ko-ELL-beck.

It's 123rd in this week's Sagarin computer rankings, behind such powers as the Citadel, Elon and Furman. In fact, 21 programs from the former Division I-AA are rated higher than the 2-9 Rebels.
