Letter: Mass protest needed to get nation’s attention

Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007 | 8:03 a.m.

At what point will we as American citizens come to realize that President Bush and this administration are completely against all our rights and interested only in their own agenda?

To blame the Democrats for not confronting Bush is not realistic. They don't have the votes. However, we can collectively demonstrate our complete frustration and disgust with the way this administration has handled our Constitution and with its total incompetence.

As a newspaper you have the power of voice. What I would suggest is a Las Vegas national day of protest. We need to get the attention of those people who just take our laws for granted and automatically assume that the government is doing the correct thing.

I do believe that a large segment of the population would come out for a day to voice their displeasure with the way this country is headed.
