Letter: Smokers’ littering is disgusting, neglectful

I sometimes wonder what drivers think that shiny, small removable container with the lifting lid that covers it is. Could it be an ashtray? Doesn't it look like it could be an excellent place to put used-up cigarettes?
If I were a smoker (which thankfully I am not), I would surely use this wonderful little shiny , easy -to -reach tray in the car. So please answer me , smokers of Las Vegas, why do you all assume it is your right to dispose of your filthy cigarette butts out your car windows onto our city streets, turning this wonderful city into your own big shiny ashtray.
I promise you, you won't dirty your car if you use the ashtray, but I guarantee that you will dirty the city streets and perhaps start a fire when you toss it out your window. Your car ashtray feels neglected and purposeless when you don't use it. Please make your ashtray feel happy again by giving it a purpose.
You all may think that you can smoke anywhere you want to, but let me make this perfectly clear, you do not have the right to litter our streets. No right at all to do that.
