Letter: Don’t hold your breath waiting for a leader
Monday, Nov. 5, 2007 | 7:18 a.m.
I agree with Ray Harbert's Nov. 3 letter, "Bush administration has set us back years." But I do not share his view that the winner of next year's election will try to right all the wrongs.
The Democrats have shown themselves to be befuddled, as usual, and don't even recognize the rightness of impeaching President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. Impeachment may not be politically wise right now, as I'm sure their "handlers" have advised them, but it is the right thing to do. Where are the leaders who will take us to that higher place?
And no politicians will want to correct Bush's trashing of our Constitution. It gives them more power, which is what it is all about. Power and greed.
What a sad state of affairs we have come to: No leaders, just lobbyists and handlers.
