So Rep. Jon Porter, known as a member of the Second Amendments band, likes to dance the night away more than he has any superstitions or was born to run. So reports National Journal in a piece about rock concerts coupled with fundraisers. Democrats hooked up with Stevie Wonder and Bruce Springsteen while Republicans, including Porter, gathered at a Van Halen concert this week to raise money at a $1,250 to $1,500 a head affair. Considering Porter will surely be accused, most notably on the SCHIP vote, of wanting the best of both worlds, this could the right band for him. And the main question for Porter next year is whether Robert Daskas can make him do something that the congressman's new pals would appreciate: Jump.
