FLASHPOINT for May 31, 2007
Thursday, May 31, 2007 | 7:23 a.m.
So ex-Gov. Bob Miller has endorsed Hillary Clinton for president? Stop the presses! The man who stuck his neck out for Bill Clinton many, many times is now supporting Hillary Clinton? This is the definition of dog bites man. And, yet, it shows the relentlessness of the Clinton machine as it, Pac-Man-like, gobbles up endorsements and rolls them out. A day earlier, it was black leaders - albeit mostly second-tier players - to show she has, like Barack Obama, black support. And now Miller, the former Democratic governor. Obama hasn't shown much of a staff or big-name endorsement presence in Nevada, although he is here for two days this week. He will need to start naming names or that Clinton inevitability strategy might pay off.
