Letter: Making argument for full-time Legislature

Isn't it ironic that Nevada's "green building" legislation saves energy and huge amounts of "green" for corporations by reducing their building energy costs?

Isn't it also ironic that this same green building initiative increases the property and the potential sales value of these green buildings?

Isn't it idiotic that our Legislature would grant tens, if not hundreds of millions of dollars in sales and property tax relief to those who would have, in all likelihood, done most of this greening without the tax incentive?

At the state level, green has now turned to brown. It's what you get with four months of a part-time Legislature. So is it any wonder that hurried part-time thinking delivers seriously flawed results? This is exactly why Nevada needs a full-time elected government at all levels.
