Letter: Bush’s rejection of science embarrassing

As Barry Clayton indicated in his May 11 letter, it is not "intellectual suicide" for a presidential candidate to question the theory of evolution . But when the president of the United States says the "jury is still out" on a scientific theory that is, and has been for more than 50 years, overwhelmingly accepted by the scientific community, it is an embarrassment.
