Th e rubber bullets fired at unarmed protesters in Los Angeles called to mind the early '30s, which became the fascist Nazi Germany. How have we become so far to the right in this great land?
And why is the Catholic church, led by Cardinal Roger Mahony, encouraging illegal immigration?
This is not the land in December 1950 that I volunteered to defend when I enlisted in the Air Force.
I am deeply saddened by these events.
