Letter: Put premium on peace of mind

Mi ke Smith's April 26 editorial cartoon was completely on the mark. A 10-year, 100,000-mile power train warranty doesn't help much if your power window motor decides to quit working after three years, or your door handles break off, or your CD player decides it doesn't want to play CDs anymore. I can go on and on.
If General Motors would just include a five-year, 60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty with their new cars, they would fly off the lot. Peace of mind does mean a lot these days.
