Letter: Iraq war has sapped our nation’s strength

Many residents, no doubt from a variety of life experiences, cultures and ages, have expressed, via letters to the editor, that they disapprove of George W. Bush and his administration. They mention specifics, i.e., the war in Iraq and numerous important decisions, both internationally and domestically, since the war began. For example:
Shortages of manpower to fight the war. Casualties that increase in numbers per month after four years of fighting and thousands of American casualties, rather than decreasing each month. Additional troops sent there instead of a reduction of the troops.
No end to the war is in sight. Not enough qualified military leadership personnel to aid our chances of a clear victory, even if that victory were a possibility, which many doubt.
Iran is now a possible threat. George W. Bush isn't afraid. He knows that he is right, about whatever, and that's that.
If you asked members of Bush's administration, I'm sure they could point out some wonderful things that George W. Bush has accomplished during his presidency. Would you publicly complain about your boss while on the job?
George W. Bush is our president and will be for a while longer. He and the rest of us are living in very difficult times. Our nation is much weaker than we were a couple of years ago. We are thought less of in the world than we were a couple of years ago. We are fighting a war while possibly adding another war with Iran, which may prove more of a challenge than Iraq. All this with a shortage of our military?
