Letter: Gas tax would solve many problems

In a time where it seems there are more problems than solutions, I would like to offer a single solution to many problems. First, the problems:
OK, here's the solution: the Legislature puts the fight about free all-day daycare for 6-year-olds on hold and enacts a 50-cent-a-gallon charge on fuel and makes sure that current gas taxes are used solely for roads, and lets market forces cure the problems.
The result:
As a bonus solution, I offer the suggestion that Nevada encourage the production of clean, safe nuclear power, which will also lower the danger some feel from global warming and come in handy as need for electrical power increases.
