StumbleLetter: Patriot Act makes firings even worse

The Las Vegas Sun's March 5 editorial on U.S. attorney firings failed to emphasize one key point that makes these firings more egregious than what was indicated: Replacement U.S. attorneys can be simply appointed, with no confirmation necessary - a move made possible by the Patriot Act.
