Letter: Public health care mired in red tape

The Democrats should take heed to the woes experienced at Walter Reed Medical Center. This is an example of government-provided health care! Ask any "Army brat" how his/her medical care was while they were growing up.

So much bureaucracy, so many doctor changes, so many lost forms, and if you perhaps moved, oh no ... not again!

This is nothing new despite what anyone tries to make us believe. Every vet has gone through it and so has every military family member. World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq, Afghanistan and even peacetime vets have been victimized by the "red tape" that exists in any governmental program related to health care.

Stay with private health care and stay away from any attempts to nationalize it ... by any means.
