FLASHPOINT for Mar 08, 2007

They will talk about anything in the Legislative Building. That's especially true now, the doldrums in Carson City. With that caveat, it is noteworthy, as my colleague J. Patrick Coolican reported this week, that murmurs of a gubernatorial recall have started among Democrats in the building. A recall! After only two months! This has surfed from partisan blogs to a place of slightly superior credibility. It is unprecedented and unbelievable. The froth may not be surprising considering the governor's multifarious troubles. But a recall is difficult. You have to wait six months, you have to nominate a candidate who can win, you have to collect a lot of signatures and you have to hope few candidates qualify. It's almost impossible. Right?
