Letter: Put contributions in a blind trust
Friday, June 29, 2007 | 7:20 a.m.
I continue to worry about campaign fundraising reform. However, on Wednesday I heard a wonderful idea on National Public Radio. It suggested that any political contribution for a candidate be placed in a blind trust, thus beginning to address the buying of influence by keeping candidates from knowing to whom they are beholden.
Do others think this would be a good idea? How can we begin to lobby Congress to make it so?
