Letter: There’s no comparing lies of Libby, Clinton
Tuesday, June 19, 2007 | 6:56 a.m.
Letter writer Bob Ashby asked what the difference was between the lies President Clinton told and the lies that Lewis Libby told. This is an easy one.
Bill Clinton lied about having an extramarital affair. Scooter Libby lied to cover up the Bush administration's deliberate leak of classified information.
Clinton lied about his personal life; Libby lied to cover for his bosses so they could mislead us into a disastrous, senseless war that has cost countless innocent lives, driven the country into near bankruptcy, and made Americans less safe.
Big difference to me.
