Letter: Government had no reason to out agent

In the matter of convicted felon I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby:

Let's keep our eyes on the prize here. Valerie Plame Wilson was employed by the CIA doing work that was classified because of its importance to national security. There is but one salient question, then: What overriding, exigent national interest was served by the administration's disclosure of her professional identity? Name one. You can't.

She was, in fact, "covert." And she was outed by the Bush administration in an act of despicable, treasonous political retribution.
