Letter: Construction takes away more natural beauty

Friday, June 8, 2007 | 7:17 a.m.

For those of us who have enjoyed the sight of the Black Mountains in Henderson, well, I can only say: It looks like this too shall pass!

While driving on Horizon Ridge, the natural sight of the mountains, which have stood the test of time, will be with us no more.

Yes, it looks like the earth movers are terracing the mountains to build houses.

With modern construction technology, the homes might not slide down the mountains (we hope!) - but I don't want to pay to pump water up to these abodes.

I guess that it is just a matter of time until whatever natural scenery we have (had!) here will fall to the construction folks. What is next?
