Regarding Ron Kantowski's May 26 column about Cashman Field's $1 beer night promotion on Thursdays:
Usually there is a small group of people at Cashman Field on Thursday nights who are rowdy, rude and obnoxious, spoiling the game for everyone. They yell obscenities, throw beer and heckle the players relentlessly. All the while the ushers in every aisle and security are completely oblivious to the disruptions.
It's commendable that vendors are trained not to sell to the inebriated. I guess that's why the only sober one of the bunch is the designated buyer.
While my husband and I frequently attend and enjoy the 51s games, you will never again see us there on a Thursday night.
