Letter: Unions interfere with our lives, businesses
Saturday, July 28, 2007 | 7:17 a.m.
Regarding the Las Vegas Sun's July 26 story "Out to hurt builder, union takes aim at tenant instead":
I was disgusted to see the criminal tactics used against attorney Rob Bol ick by the unions. I happen to know Rob Bolick and he is a gentleman, certainly undeserving of this har assment.
From my first visit to Las Vegas 32 years ago, I have been angered by the thugs har assing customers of casinos and now business owners (tenants) who have nothing to do with their perverted sense of entitlement. ($32 an hour? Please!)
It's time to rei n in the thugs who are perpetrating these injustices as they spit and curse at innocent people. I'd love to see a ballot initiative or a law banning these har assers from intimidating perfectly innocent bystanders who have nothing to do with their whining and griping. Would we be allowed to stand in front of someone's store cursing him? I think not.
My lasting impression of union members, government union members included, is they are all a bunch of thugs trying to force the rest of us to support their unreasonable demands. Why are they allowed to threaten and intimidate innocent people? It should be illegal.
It's better to be a rat (that's what union members call anyone who doesn't agree with them) than a cockroach. This is a new low for the unions, if that is possible.
