In a story Wednesday about health benefits for Clark County School District retirees, the Sun reported incorrectly that the Teachers' Health Trust is run by the teachers union. In fact, it is an independently operated organization. The Sun also reported that teachers would have to decide within the next 16 months whether to join the state's Public Employees Benefits Program. The story should have said that the teachers must retire within 13 months, by Sept. 1, 2008, to accommodate a mandatory waiting period.
