Letter: No excuse for mistreating dogs
Tuesday, July 24, 2007 | 7:25 a.m.
The Las Vegas Sun's July 21 editorial about the horrors of dog fighting is right on. Michael Vick and others are indicted for their horrifying, heinous treatment of dogs. In my opinion, such people who participate in these illegal activities are sadistic and despicable.
How we treat the most vulnerable creatures among us is a measure of our morality and ability to empathize. Vick blames his relatives who lived on the property, but evidence points to his own direct involvement. What a lying sub-human he is!
He should be thrown out of the Falcons and the NFL immediately.
Advocates for Vick cite the influences of a difficult and hard childhood as being responsible. What a pitiful excuse for such inhumane, vicious behavior!
