Letter: Bush, Cheney have been a disaster
Friday, July 20, 2007 | 7:21 a.m.
President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney are liars. They took us to war, which was actually an invasion and occupation, under the pretense of weapons of mass destruction and Iraq being involved in 9/11, both of which have been proven false , and even the White House has more or less admitted it.
They went to war against the advice of many people and much intelligence information. This was just a job that needed to be finished by Bush because his daddy did not get it done. Now the country is in a no-win situation that Bush's ego will not let him get out of. Thousands of Americans are dying because of the mess Bush has gotten us into.
The Iraqi government is not cooperating and is supposed to take a vacation for the month of August while Americans are dying. Some of the Iraqi troops and police, whom we have trained, have turned on our troops. Oh, and by the way, the Iraqi government has said that it doesn't want or need us there and it can handle it, which we know it can't.
Meanwhile, Bush has had no accomplishments. Everything he has touched or tried to do has failed. Health care, immigration, Social Security, Iraq, Katrina, No Child Left Behind, etc.
He has not accomplished anything , and in fact has destroyed this country and its reputation around the world , and has us up to our eyeballs in debt. His administration has broken the law, it has scandal after scandal, many of his staff have fled the White House, and there are many Republicans being investigated or subpoenaed. Others have already been arrested and jailed, except for those, such as "Scooter" Libby, who got a free pass from the corrupt "Decider."
Bush will listen to no one, except Cheney. If his military commanders do not tell him what he wants to hear, he fires them or they retire.
