FLASHPOINT for Jul 20, 2007

Friday, July 20, 2007 | 7:23 a.m.

Six months from yesterday, Nevada will hold its second-in- the-nation presidential balloting - and the Democrats are excited. They sent out a news release Thursday about how all the candidates keep coming and how the party is erecting the infrastructure to make the event successful. I still can't believe they keep touting some practice caucuses they are conducting and calling them "mockuses." It sounds like an invitation to "mock us," and many of us will oblige. And I almost forgot the headline on the news release: "Six Months to Caucus Day: Candidates Meeting Nevadans Face to Face." I hope they meant on "Face to Face." Isn't that the best way for a candidate to be introduced to Nevadans?
