Letter: Democrats need to get tough on terror
Tuesday, July 17, 2007 | 7:18 a.m.
Democrats in Congress keep clamoring for a change of strategy regarding Iraq. OK, how about this? The Democrats grow a spine, stand up and say to al-Qaida, Hezbollah and all the other Islamo-fascists of the world:
"We are the United States of America. We were forged in fire and are the mightiest nation on Earth. We stand for freedom and justice, and believe in the words of our great president, John F. Kennedy, who once said 'we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.' Hell will freeze over before we turn tail and admit defeat to an evil horde of merciless, brutal savages who wish to set civilization back a thousand years. By attacking us, you merely sow the seeds of your own destruction."
Yeah, let's all hold our breaths and wait for that to happen.
