I know it's fruitless, but I call for a moratorium. When a presidential candidate visits, can the opposition refrain from putting out an inane quote, usually sent by party HQ back East? And can we Fourth Estaters promise not to use the nonsense? The statements say nothing, such as the GOP attack on Barack Obama: "Barack Obama claims hes brought people together to 'get things done,' but his record shows an astonishing lack of accomplishment. This rookie candidate simply does not have the experience to lead our country and his short layover in Las Vegas will do nothing to convince voters otherwise." Highly illuminating. And the Democrats are no better. Think either party will shut up for the next 15 months or so?
