Letter: C-SPAN shows where real boondoggle is
Friday, July 13, 2007 | 7:22 a.m.
People should stop blaming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid for the country's woes and start finding out who is stopping bills and resolutions from passing in the Congress and Senate. Watch C-SPAN!
Everyone should spend an hour a day with C-SPAN. It shows you up close and personal how our elected officials are serving our interest. But I must warn you, you may be a little dismayed at how childish some may appear when they are trying to hold up legislation for whatever reason.
It looks like this could be another Karl Rove maneuver to help the Republicans gain control of the House and Senate next election. Could the order be: "Don't let anything pass and the American people will blame the Democrats next election "?
This would be a good time to start tu ning in to C-SPAN, when the new proposal next week to start bringing our troops home from Iraq is debated in the Senate. It will open up your eyes to a few things.
