Letter: Offering a lesson in good salesmanship
Saturday, July 7, 2007 | 7:08 a.m.
Regarding Brian Greenspun's July 1 column:
I enjoy reading the Las Vegas Sun and agree with most of Mr. Greenspun's columns. However , I completely disagree with the way that he presents them.
It is obvious that he does not like the Las Vegas Review-Journal or it s viewpoints. That is OK, but that should not be what his columns are about.
I have been a salesman for more than 60 years. I was taught to never mention a competitor's name. More important , I was taught to never knock a competitor. Your customers (in your case, your readers) want to hear what you have to say, not about your competitor.
Stop waging war, and begin being positive. I want to read what Mr. Greenspun has to say, not bad things about that other paper.
