President Bush and his close adviser, Vice President Dick Cheney, seem adamant and gung-ho in sending more troops to Iraq. I have a suggestion: The president should tell Cheney to forget his "other priorities" and send him to Iraq, embedded in some Army or Marine unit going there, enabling Cheney to go out on some combat patrols on foot and in military vehicles.
Cheney can then send the commander in chief firsthand information concerning troop morale, combat conditions and other current information concerning the situation there.
