Letter: Bush, Cheney make the world a worse place
Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007 | 7:03 a.m.
What has happened to my country? We have lost the ability to stand up for ourselves and shout out the truth. Well, I'll do it.
President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney are directly responsible for making our world a much more dangerous place. The fact that we allow Bush to go on acting like he gets to do all the deciding is outrageous. This guy should be impeached for incompetence and run out of town.
At least 25 Americans were killed over the weekend in Iraq. Most people watched football. There is a disconnect here. That is the truth.
When Bush was asked the other night in an interview about why he didn't ask Americans, other than military families, to sacrifice more, he replied that we do sacrifice by having to watch the TV news about Iraq each evening and being traumatized by that.
I would tell Mr. Educator in Chief what is more traumatic to me, and that is looking at his face.
