THE READERS SOMETIMES E-MAIL

Readers have opinions and fill my e-mail box, letting me know when mine are right (sometimes) and wrong (often). From time to time, I'll share their comments.

I don't think I'd call Greedy Daniels a former "Rebel standout." He could not beat out Mark Dickel. I'm glad the team is playing hard and drawing decent crowds again. Enjoy your column. Peace.

Christian Caputo, Las Vegas

Christian: Dont you remember the way Greedy threw the ball away? That really stood out. Enjoy your e-mail. Peace and understanding. Ron

I read your column on our cold weather and I laughed the entire time. I am also from Chicago and can visualize everything you said. There is no place like Chicago and Chicago sports fans. I am an avid White Sox and Bears fan and I'm really looking forward to Sunday's game.

Irma Pasick, Las Vegas

Irma: White Sox? Did you say White Sox? Please remove me from your e-mail list ASAP. (Just kidding) Its been so cold that the three cans of Old Style Ive been saving in my garage for the NFC title game have frozen solid. Sort of like Tom Boerwinkle setting a pick.

I just want to let you know my wife and I and a bunch of other race fans from here will be attending the Vegas Grand Prix and spending a ton of cash on beer and pit passes as you mentioned. I hope to see Mayor Goodman with his gin while I am there. Cheers.

John Jarego, Burlington, Ontario

John: I think the chances of that are pretty good, provided they hold the race on a day that ends in Y. By the way, you can get cold Molsons at the grocery store here. And tell the McKenzie Brothers I said hello.

I read your story about Al Lewis. I was a big Munsters fan growing up here in the valley. I even had a Munsters lunch box. Make that three. I used to kick them home from school. What about Beverley Owen? Marilyn Munster No. 1. Is she still living?

Robert Gunny, Las Vegas

Robert: Beverley Owen now lives in upstate New York, where she frequently appears with the Cambridge theater company, the Theatre Company at Hubbard Hall. I used to have a Batman lunch box but I never kicked it. Not even when the Riddler was after me.
