Letter: Bush not hearing what America is saying
Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007 | 7:01 a.m.
Vice President Dick Cheney was recently quoted as saying, "I have yet to hear a coherent policy out of the Democratic side, with respect to an alternative to what the president's proposed in terms of going forward."
Can any of us believe that Bush would even listen to another proposal? After all, he completely ignored the Iraq Study Group's recommendations. He replaced military personnel who disagreed with his plan and replaced them with those who agreed with him.
Bush has consistently ignored the wishes of the American public. It should have been obvious to him that Americans are not happy with this administration after the November elections. Yet, he will not listen to sound advice. After all, he is the "Decider."
How can one man be so arrogant to believe that he is right in spite of all the advice from people who have much more experience and knowledge than he has?
