Letter: Those with road rage are to be pitied

I think I'm a good driver, but ...
Have I ever cut someone off because I didn't see him in my rear view mirror or was I just not paying attention?
Have I ever been in the wrong lane when I realized I wanted to make a right or left turn at the next intersection and sped up to get over there?
Have I ever crept along at 10 mph looking for an address or a store, holding up traffic behind me?
Have I ever been preoccupied at an intersection and not moved immediately when the light turned green?
Have I ever made a right turn on a red light or left a stop sign miscalculating the speed of an oncoming car, forcing them to step on the brake to avoid hitting me?
Have I always taken my proper turn at a four-way stop sign?
My answers to these questions are the same for everyone, so why should we get angry when someone else does it?
These idiots who insist on displaying their IQ by blowing their horn, shaking their fist and yelling their heads off should be treated as emotionally handicapped by the rest of us. After all, they are giving themselves ulcers and heart attacks. You should feel sorry for them, not anger.
