Letter: No Child Left Behind starts at home

We have presently in the United States an educational theme of No Child Left Behind. I'm a retired teacher, and I believe this can only be placed in motion if adults take the initiative to lead and provide the correct means of guidance and instruction for the students' benefits. This directive is not solely for teachers and administrators, but for all people in all walks of life.

The family structure must be relied upon to provide guidance and leadership so that the student can properly expect to function positively. The family must support the daily education that each student obtains at school. Community involvement is a necessity. Education is a 24/7 situation and commences at home!
