Letter: Dream world won’t deal with this reality

Regarding the Las Vegas Sun's Feb. 27 story, "Making a choice - Project Prevention pays addicts to take long-term birth control":
My hats off and sincere admiration to Barbara Harris for her efforts to help addicts get their lives back on track. She should have a commendation from every community she has been in.
Her detractors stay in their little dream world where every child is wanted and well taken care of. These folks ought to spend some time with Ms. Harris.
I don't think most addicts have as goals a family and living a normal life. Perhaps those who argue with Ms. Harris' methods should give "crack" a try and see how their reasoning works out!
