Letter: Terrorists wouldn’t stand a chance here
Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007 | 7 a.m.
President Bush says if we bring our troops home, the enemy will follow them here. What does that mean? Are they going to have a Normandy-type landing on our beaches? Are they going to drop paratroopers in our heartland?
What is Homeland Security for if it can't stop the enemy from coming to our country? I really don't understand what Bush means when he says they'll follow our troops here.
And many Republicans say we have to fight them in the streets of Iraq or we will have to fight them in the streets of America. I believe if we fought them in the streets of America, the fight would last about one day.
