Letter: President should reflect will of people
Friday, Feb. 16, 2007 | 7:13 a.m.
I wholeheartedly agree with LaRue Boenig's Feb. 3 letter in the Las Vegas Sun regarding the president's supposed promotion from "The Decider" to "The Decision Maker."
I also agree with her quote of the late Molly Ivins that, "We are the people who run the country. We are the deciders."
The president is a fine one to be trying to make Iraq a democracy when, as Ms. Boenig brings up, he not only has ignored "the U.S. Constitution, the U.S. Congress, the Iraq Study Group, but also, above all, the will of the people."
Ours is a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
