Letter: Political activism by citizens needed
Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007 | 7:29 a.m.
It is unhealthy to have no respect for politicians and government. The cure is our political activism. Citizen political activism will encourage politicians to legislate for the common good.
Let us think of ourselves as lobbyists for "we the people," promoting fairness and freedom over the greed of special interests.
The result will be less taxation, less dishonesty and a realization of the promise in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.
Political activism is good citizenship.
